This bike may have looked good but it was an accident waiting to happen. Firstly when the RGV swingarm was fitted, an RGV swingarm pin had been used. Being considerably larger in diameter than the standard pin this left only about 5mm of frame mounting bracket to hold the swingarm in. After this came the engine. This also had a few problems.
Apart from the normal wear and tear these engines come in with, this one had third gear melted on to the selector shaft! Plus there were various set screws which had come out from inside the primary drive side of the engine and were merrily dancing around on the primary gears. As a result of this, many parts had to be replaced or refurbished including the frame, wiring loom, discs, top yoke, exhausts, gearbox, and clutch. It also received many one off parts but once it was finished the customer was very happy.
